Many times as the first step of the treatment process, Dr. Sanders requests 3D X-ray and surface scans using the latest state-of-the-art imaging equipment. This enables him to view all of your oral structures in detail (including all the bone and soft tissue). The scan provides a 360-degree view of your entire mouth and jaw area, which Dr. Sanders views in special implant planning software.

The software allows him to meticulously plan out the procedure and the position of your implants so that the surgery is smooth and efficient. Dr. Sanders knows that precise planning is vital to the correct and comfortable placement of your implants.

Expert Bone Grafting

When teeth have been missing for a long time it results in bone loss. It may then be necessary to receive bone grafting to augment the jawbone. Dr. Sanders performs minimally invasive bone regeneration to rebuild the necessary bone support. He also uses special growth factors which reduce swelling and postsurgery discomfort and significantly speeds the healing process.

Tooth Replacement Options

Dental implants are not just for replacing individual teeth—they can also be used to replace multiple teeth in a row, or even a whole arch of teeth, either as a removable denture or as permanently fixed-in teeth.

Replacing Multiple Teeth

To replace multiple teeth in a row, Dr. Sanders recommends an implant-supported bridge. This allows Dr. Sanders to replace your teeth without alteration to any of your adjacent teeth.

Full-Arch Teeth Replacement

If you need to replace a whole arch of teeth, Dr. Sanders can provide different options. A removable snap-in denture is attached to implants that are stably anchored in your jaw and can be easily removed for cleaning. Snap-in dentures provide you with excellent stability and only require as few as two implants per lower arch.

For the most stability and chewing power, teeth fixed to implants are the best option. Your new teeth never have to come out of the mouth, and you can enjoy nearly full chewing power.
